Blokes Burgers

A job like this doesn’t come around every day. A few years ago, a client approached looking to launch a new burger joint. The hook – it had to be unapologetically aimed at the macho man. The guy who had a real man-sized hole in his gut and wanted to kill that sucker with an ox-sized burger.

The client wanted… and we obliged. Was it completely over the top? Yes. Would this restaurant have ruffled the feathers if it ever launched? Yes.

Was it fun to write ? I’d be lying if I say no – and the end result, when taken with a pinch of salt, is still one of my favourite copy jobs ever completed. Dig in …
